75 year old, Narrogin resident Ann McLeish has been a dedicated fundraiser for her Flying Doctor since 2008.
On August 27, Ann will journey from Narrogin to Newdegate on a 222 kilometer walk to raise vital funds for her beloved not-for-profit organisation.
The trip will take her on foot through Wagin, Dumbleyung, Kukerin and Lake Grace before arriving in Newdegate on September 3.
Ann has a close connection with the RFDS and commenced her fundraising efforts in 2008 following her brother's injuries in a Busselton hockey match which required the RFDS to fly him to Perth for treatment.
“Just in my family alone, my brother, my son and my granddaughter have had to use the RFDS,” Ms McLeish said.
She has raised more than $200,000 since she begun fundraising and is hoping to surpass the $250,000 mark this year.
